CONSIGNMENT IN NYACK: PLEASE READ 〰️

Our Nyack storefront, located at 5 South Broadway, Nyack NY Phone number: 845-480-5980

— ALL NEW CONSIGNORS ARE REQUIRED TO READ AND AGREE TO THE POLICY (see policy tab) BEFORE COMING IN TO CONSIGN —

DO NOT COME OUTSIDE OF THE POSTED WALK-IN DATES/TIME FRAMES

All consignors check in with a staff member upon arrival and are seen on a first come first serve basis. We review your items and all that we can not accept are returned to you at this time. Do not leave your bag/s unattended in the store unless a staff member has labeled them and taken them for the queue.

——— WE DO NOT RESERVE TIME SPOTS ——————

If you are a NEW CONSIGNOR: There is a $5 fee that will be waived only if you shop that day, or if we can not accept any items for consignment.

Additionally, we must ACCEPT at least 3 items to open a consignment account with you, so you must BRING AT LEAST 5 and up to 15 excellent seasonal items for us to consider. Reach out by phone if you have questions about what that means.

1. DO NOT bring more than 15 items including shoes, bags, scarves and jewelry. Items like two piece suits or ensembles that are meant to go together/were originally sold together may be counted as one piece.

2. Clean and odor-free SEASONAL items only. A good question to ask yourself when choosing what to bring is, “would I be excited to see this in a shop?” Primarily consider an items condition and quality, as style is subjective and trends are always changing.

3. Remove all hangers and dry cleaner bags and fold your items neatly in bags or a bin (see image below for an example of what we mean). Seasonally appropriate leather and suede pieces can be brought in on hangers to reduce damaging creases

4. Limit ONE visit per consignor per month, per location. If you are consigning your own items, you may not bring an additional 15 items for someone else who is not physically present.

5. Prepare to wait if there is anyone ahead of you (wait times in Nyack vary so don't forget to pay the parking meter). We need you to be present when we look through your items, so if you'd like to step out you must let us know and return by the time we specify or you forfeit your place in the queue.

——— If you leave your items unattended and do not return BEFORE THE WALK-IN WINDOW HAS ENDED, you forfeit your items to the shop.

6. Yes, we take both vintage and modern items, as long as they're stylish and good quality. If you would like to learn more about how to choose what to bring to maximize your chances of having items selected for consignment, please visit the shop before you come to consign and have a look around, or check our Instagram @consigntrilogy.nyack

An example of a nice way to organize your items for us to review. Please do not individually bag items and respectfully do not bring them crumpled in a garbage bag.

WINTER/HOLIDAY NYACK WALK-IN DATES

In addition to the standard winter stuff outlined in the infograph below, we will be looking for fabulous holiday items! Nothing too formal, just fun, festive items for the various events being held this season.

YOU MAY ONLY VISIT ON ONE OF THE FOLLOWING 4 DATES

Thursday November 14th from 11am-3pm

Monday November 25th from 10am-2pm

Sunday December 8th from 10am-3pm

Thursday December 19th from 10am-5pm

Make sure you have signed up for our email mailing list so you are notified of walk-in dates as soon as they are announced!

It is highly unlikely that we will cancel a walk-in day, but we are a small business run buy human beings so things are bound to happen! We will be sure to email if anything changes, but if you’re coming from far away and want to call ahead to confirm, please do.

Give your items a sniff...if you can smell moth balls, body odor, cigarette smoke or perfume, so can customers, so please be sure to thoroughly air them out and wash everything washable before your appointment. We can't accept things with odors. None of us should ever consign OR DONATE unwashed clothes!

A good rule of thumb to ask yourself - would you want to buy the item in the condition it is in? Check garments underarms for deodorant residue, pants hems for dirt or wear, and generally look for spots, stains, pilling, and other damages. These issues will prevent us from taking items that otherwise might pass muster. We will always suggest items with issues like these be recycled rather than donated. >Click here< for more information.

Bringing valuable items? If you plan on bringing items that you will need to make a certain amount of money on, please come to your appointment prepared with that amount so we can decide whether or not we can accept them for consignment right there on the spot.

We accept seasonal items for women and men in a colorfully broad range of styles, labels and sizes (from petites to plus sizes). Costume and covetable jewelry, clothing, shoes, handbags and seasonal scarves and hats are accepted in gently-used, like-new or new condition, ideally with minimal signs of wear; but seeing as recycling is our driving force, we do accept a limited amount of desirable items with moderate signs of wear and price them to sell based on their condition. Please read on for more specific guidelines regarding what we do and do not take.

While we do accept a broad range of styles, sizes and brands, we are still very selective. Your items may be great, but just not the right fit for this particular shop. We don't take very many items from fast fashion brands (like Forever 21, H&M, Old Navy, Target and Walmart) because the resale value is almost nothing. Please recycle these items (see our Recycle tab for more information)!
